Preparation of the ingredients
· Rinse the pieces of chicken and vegetables.
· Chop onion.
· Chop 1 tbsp garlic and some jalapeno.
· Chop some celery.
· Chop spring onion into small pieces.

· At first preheat a pan.
· Add ¼ cup oil to the pan and heat to medium high flame.
· Cut 6 corn tortillas into thin strips.
· Fry them to brown for 5 to 8 minutes.
· Remove from the pan and let drain the excess oil.
Preparation of chicken tortilla soup
· At first put the chicken pieces into a cooking pot and add 3 to 4 cup of water.
· Add 1 tbsp of oil and add chopped onion, garlic, jalapeno, spring onion in to the pot.
· Bring these ingredients to a boil and then simmer for 20 minutes.
· When the chicken pieces become soften, remove the chicken to a bowl and shred it with forks.
· Return the chicken to the pot and simmer for another 5 minutes.
· Add some salt to taste.
· Remove the soup into a clean bowl.
· Add some pepper to taste.
· Add the pre cooked tortilla strips to the soup.
· Add some cream to garnish the soup.
· Chicken tortilla soup is ready to serve and it should be served warm.

· This soup can be served with chopped avocado.
· To make this soup heavy, more cream can be added.
